The AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) Head is responsible for managing and executing maintenance contracts related to fire and safety systems. This includes overseeing service operations, leading a technical team, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining client relationships, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen within the fire and safety domain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
Supervise, train, and motivate technicians and support staff involved in fire safety equipment maintenance.
Allocate tasks and ensure optimal team performance and productivity.
2. Service Delivery:
Oversee the execution of all AMC services including routine inspections, repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure timely and quality service delivery as per contract agreements.
3. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Address client inquiries and concerns, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
4. Business Development:
Identify potential clients and opportunities for AMC contract expansion.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and pitch AMC solutions.
5. Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Conduct internal audits and ensure documentation is up to date.
6. Financial Oversight:
Monitor AMC-related expenses and revenue.
Prepare budgets, control costs, and work towards profitability of AMC operations.
7. Reporting:
Generate periodic reports on service performance, client feedback, financials, and team productivity.
Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
8. Technical Expertise:
Possess sound knowledge of fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, sprinkler systems, panels, etc.
Stay updated with the latest developments in fire safety technology and practices.
9. Problem Solving:
Quickly diagnose and resolve technical or operational issues arising in the field.
Implement corrective and preventive measures as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in fire safety systems maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
Leadership Skills:
Experience in managing technical teams and supervising operations.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication for client interaction and internal coordination.
Analytical Thinking:
Ability to assess service issues and implement effective solutions.
Sales & Marketing Awareness:
Basic understanding of AMC-related business growth strategies.
Financial Acumen:
Capability to manage budgets and monitor AMC profitability.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with local fire safety norms, AMC documentation, and compliance procedures.
Experience:
5+ years in fire safety AMC or related field; prior team handling experience preferred.
Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
