Drive ambulances quickly and safely to emergency locations and hospitals.
Follow all traffic laws, using GPS/maps and knowing alternate routes.
Operate emergency lights and sirens effectively.
Maintain a clean driving record and possess required certifications.
Patient Care & Assistance:
Assist in moving patients onto and off stretchers and into the ambulance.
Provide basic first aid, CPR, and comfort to patients during transport.
Communicate compassionately with anxious patients and their families.
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance:
Perform daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance (fuel, fluids).
Keep the ambulance clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
Report any equipment or vehicle issues.
Documentation & Communication:
Complete accurate patient records, incident reports, and forms.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical staff, and hospitals.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to calls, assessing road conditions.
Stay calm and make quick decisions in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Be prepared for long hours and work in teams.
