Job Description

Hospital ambulance drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transport of patients, which includes performing pre-trip vehicle inspections, operating the vehicle safely in traffic, assisting with patient transfer, maintaining the ambulance's hygiene and medical supplies, communicating with dispatch and medical staff, and completing all necessary documentation. Drivers must possess excellent driving skills, composure in high-stress situations, and the ability to provide basic life support and comfort to patients. Vehicle Operation and Maintenance

Pre-Trip Inspections:

Check fuel, oil, tire pressure, and ensure all emergency lights and equipment are functional.

Safe Driving:

Operate the ambulance safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and protocols, especially in emergency situations.

Navigation:

Utilize maps or GPS to navigate quickly and efficiently to destinations.

Mechanical Checks:

Regularly inspect the vehicle for any mechanical issues and report the need for repairs.
Patient Care and Handling

Loading and Unloading:

Assist medical personnel with loading patients onto stretchers and into the ambulance.

Basic Life Support:

Provide basic first aid or life support assistance when needed and within the scope of their training.

Emotional Support:

Offer comfort and reassurance to patients and their families during transportation.

Patient Dignity:

Handle patients with sensitivity and empathy, maintaining their dignity and respect.
Documentation and Communication

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate logs of patient transport, including pick-up/drop-off times, patient information, and mileage.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, and other team members to coordinate patient care and provide updates on patient status.

Reporting:

Report patient conditions and accident facts to relevant hospital personnel and law enforcement officials when necessary.
Sanitation and Supplies

Cleaning:

Clean and sanitize the ambulance after each use to maintain hygiene standards.

Supply Management:

Check medical supply levels and restock supplies as needed to ensure the ambulance is well-equipped.

Waste Disposal:

Dispose of contaminated medical waste safely and properly.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
