Location: Bangalore, Hybrid (3days a week from office, 2 days from Home)

Job summary:

Amazon is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and dynamic Operations Excellence Lead for our Capability Team based in Bangalore, India.

- Our team provides a service to Amazon's global businesses analyzing and driving improvements across the customer and seller journey.

- As an Operations Excellence Lead, you will identify, design and drive process improvement and automation/ semi-automation initiatives. You will lead and contribute to quality and productivity goals and enhancements.

- You will use a combination of process excellence knowledge, thought leadership, analytical skills, strong business judgment, and strategic thinking and collaboration skills to innovate on behalf of our customers.

- You will also partner with L&D lead of the team to build and execute training & certification programs to drive skill enhancement of CT employees. The role will allow you to make a real impact for our stakeholders in a dynamic, innovative and fast-paced environment.

- An ideal candidate should have the ability to work closely with cross functional teams to effectively ideate, prioritize and execute improvement programs based on team and customer needs.

- The individual must be self-driven and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders across geographies. You will need to thrive and deliver results in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities:

- Project identification and prioritization: Identify and Evaluate opportunities in current processes by collaborating with stakeholders, CT Managers and associates and conducting process walk throughs. Set up a roadmap and lead project execution across programs to improve overall performance.

- Delivery of Improvement projects: Mentor and/or lead improvement projects through JDIs, Kaizens, DMAIC etc.

- Reporting: Set up a strong governance process including report out regular project milestone status to all stakeholders and senior leaders.

- Set up success metrics including benefit quantification: Set up the success metrics for the work stream and quantify benefits potential and realized savings from the projects.

- Learning & Development: Partner with Training and development lead in the design and implementation of training program(s) on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools / techniques. Facilitating, training, and coaching team members in the use of quality & statistical tools /techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior leaders, across functions including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

- High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification from a reputed institute or organization

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SQL, SharePoint and Statistical packages (e.g. Minitab)

- Analytical background ; 7 Quality tools, SPC, Hypothesis Testing, Regression Analysis

- Seasoned Operations excellence person

- Who can drive the things from end to end, single handedly

- Global scale stake holder management

- Project Management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or equivalent certification from a reputed institute or organization

- Advanced degree (technical or MBA) preferred
