Job Description

A Regional Sales Manager for solar energy is responsible for driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and managing team performance across a specific geographic territory. Key duties include developing strategic sales plans, recruiting and mentoring sales teams, cultivating relationships with EPC clients, and analyzing market trends to expand the regional market share of solar products.

Key Responsibilities



Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:

Develop and execute regional strategies to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives and managers.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain relationships with key clients, developers, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firms.

Market Analysis:

Evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies.

Reporting:

Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and daily/weekly activity reports for senior management.

Channel Development:

Identify and onboard new channel partners, distributors, and wholesalers.

Required Qualifications & Skills



Experience:

5-12+ years in sales, with specific experience in the solar energy (PV modules, inverters, or projects) or renewable energy sector.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.

Skills:

Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and CRM software skills (e.g., Salesforce).

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of solar PV system design, net metering, and EPC processes.

Mobility:

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
