1. Job Summary

The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations within the assigned hospital floors/units. This role ensures that all areas are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained, contributing to patient safety and comfort in a professional healthcare environment.

2. Job Requirements

3. Key Responsibilities

o Allocate duties to supervisors and cross-verify task completion

o Conduct grooming briefings with supervisors

o Conduct regular rounds and ensure readiness of vacant rooms for admissions

o Monitor and prevent unnecessary use of electrical equipment (lights, fans, ACs, geysers)

o Supervise cleaning of floors, toilets, and coolers as per the schedule

o Coordinate with sister in-charges and PR staff of respective floors

o Ensure weekly cleaning of emergency staircases

o Inspect and ensure cleaning of terrace staircases, lift rooms, and terrace areas

o Ensure critical ward cleaning follows hospital protocol

o Monitor curtain laundry activities

o Oversee cleaning of exhaust fans, wall-mounted and ceiling fans

o Manage supervisor leave records

o Collect patient feedback and suggestions during rounds

o Inspect tap leakages and ensure timely repair

o Report important observations to the Manager

o Participate in daily departmental meetings

4. Required Skills and Competencies

o Strong leadership and supervisory skills

o Good communication and interpersonal skills

o Practical knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety measures, and hospital hygiene standards

5. Working Conditions

Work in hospital environments with exposure to clinical settings Involves long periods of walking and standing Requires multitasking in high-pressure and interruption-prone settings
6. Job Specifications

Education: Diploma in Hospital Management or Bachelor's degree in Hospital Management (BHM) Experience: 6 to 7 years in hospital or healthcare housekeeping operations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
