Job Description

Job Purpose

To manage and oversee day-to-day accounting, financial operations, compliance, and reporting activities for the garment/apparel business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle end-to-end accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per statutory norms. Manage GST, TDS, and other tax compliances applicable in the garment/apparel industry. Monitor cost controls, budgeting, and variance analysis specific to apparel manufacturing/trading. Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audits. Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation, and cost sheet preparation for garments. Maintain vendor and customer reconciliations. Support management with MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial analysis. Work closely with production and merchandising teams to align finance with business operations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance. Experience in garment/apparel industry preferred (costing, inventory, vendor management). Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / relevant accounting software. Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills. Strong communication and leadership skills. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Finance (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, or CA Inter). 4-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the

Garments/Apparel industry

. Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure. Ensure adherence to company policies, financial discipline, and statutory compliances.
