Role Overview

The All Subject PYP Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, inquiry-based learning aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) framework. The teacher will plan engaging lessons, create a stimulating classroom environment, assess student progress, and collaborate with the school's PYP team to ensure holistic development of learners.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

Deliver lessons across subjects (Language, Math, EVS, and Transdisciplinary Units) following the IB PYP curriculum. Implement inquiry-based, student-centered teaching strategies. Design age-appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. Integrate technology and modern teaching tools into classroom instruction.

Planning & Curriculum Development

Prepare daily lesson plans, learning engagements, and assessments aligned with PYP standards. Collaborate with the PYP Coordinator and teaching team for unit planning and interdisciplinary projects. Maintain detailed documentation of planners, reflections, and student progress.

Assessment & Evaluation

Conduct formative and summative assessments regularly. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic and personal growth. Maintain accurate grade records and prepare progress reports.

Classroom & Student Management

Create a safe, positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Manage student behavior in alignment with IB Learner Profile attributes. Support students' emotional, physical, and social development.

Parent Communication & Coordination

Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and learning needs. Conduct parent-teacher meetings, conferences, and orientation sessions as required.

Professional Responsibilities

Participate in IB training, workshops, and school events. Contribute to school assemblies, celebrations, and co-curricular activities. Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to school policies.
