Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
Work across multiple cuisine types (e.g., Indian, Chinese, Continental, etc.).
Ensure all food is prepared to high-quality standards and in a timely manner.
Plan menus and assist in creating new recipes or specials.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
Coordinate with kitchen staff and supervise junior cooks or helpers.
Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
Control portion sizes and minimize food wastage.
Assist in cost control and managing kitchen budget when required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a chef or cook in a commercial kitchen (minimum 3-5 years).
Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
Ability to handle multiple kitchen stations (grill, fry, prep, etc.).
Good organizational and leadership skills.
Familiarity with food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Culinary diploma or relevant certification (preferred).
