We are looking for a skilled

AIX Administrator

to manage, monitor, and maintain AIX and Linux servers, storage, and TSM backups for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in

server administration, storage management, backup & recovery, and SAN configurations

, with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. This role offers exposure to enterprise-level IT infrastructure and the opportunity to work closely with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:-

As an AIX Admin, you will:


Installation, configuration, and management of

AIX and Linux servers

.

LVM management

, backup and restoration of AIX servers using TSM. Installation and maintenance of

storage hardware

: controllers, hard disks, RAID levels, array creation, pools, volumes, and LUN assignments. Coordinate with vendors, raise service calls, collect logs, and ensure timely resolution. Creation of

clones, snapshots, synchronous and asynchronous copies

for storage environments. Perform

storage firmware upgrades

and configure storage virtualization. Configure

SAN switches

which include alias creation, zone creation, and saving configurations. Manage tape libraries: check-in/out, media pools, volume assignments, and backup using RMAN. DC tape metadata restoration and DR data restoration. Install and configure client agents, SAN agents, and DB agents.

Must-Have Skills:-

To excel in this position, you should have:


Strong knowledge of

AIX, Linux, Storage, and TSM administration

. Experience with

SAN storage management and backup/recovery procedures

. Hands-on experience in

LVM management, snapshots, cloning, and replication

.

Good-to-Have Skills:-

Exposure to advanced

SAN switch configurations

. Familiarity with enterprise

tape library management and RMAN backups

. Knowledge of

storage virtualization and firmware upgrades

.
