Aircraft Maintenance Technician Senior Performs the safe & efficient repair, engine run, taxi and troubleshooting to assigned aircraft in the Line Maintenance Location, & other locations as required, whilst complying with all FAA regulations, company standards & procedures, & general safety practices.

Includes using all relevant maintenance publications, EO's, EA's, and other FAA/FedEx approved documents.
Key Accountabilities:
Performs the repair, removal and replacement of all types of aircraft components, troubleshooting system malfunctions and inspections of Fed Ex Aircraft, in accordance with defined regulations & procedures, as assigned by the Aircraft Lead or Manager.
Performs safe & efficient preventive maintenance on assigned aircraft, including associated GSE when required, in accordance with defined regulations & procedures. Includes the repair & maintenance of de-icing equipment, keeping of inventory, performing actual de-icing of assigned aircraft.
Acquires & maintains all mandatory training certifications & uses all available tools/methods to keep updated on all relevant changes that may impact the satisfactory completion of duties.
Shares knowledge & experience with less experienced peers & provides agreed technical training to peers, ramp & other personnel, as required.
Avoids aircraft fuelling delays by monitoring fuelling for assigned aircraft, and when required performing the re-fuelling, ensuring compliance with requirements & approved procedures.
Works at other locations and participates in the maintenance of aircraft, GSE & in de-icing activities, as required.
Interprets MEL and makes immediate decisions on airworthiness of aircraft on site.
Signs for the airworthiness of an aircraft after scheduled maintenance and acts as RII designee on safety of flight items.
Accurately completes all required maintenance documentation relating to maintenance performed & materials used, in accordance with defined standards.
Correctly uses, stores & returns various test devices and special tools needed for the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Identifies facility, tool and supply problems and notifies the Lead or Manager.
Follows safety practices consistent with country laws, FedEx policy and various other safety references.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Advises Manager or Lead Technician of potential safety hazards.
Co-ordinates towing, hangaring, washing and preparation of aircraft maintenance ferry to another station. Provides for movement of aircraft parts to other stations.
Ensures all precautionary measures are completed with regard to Pre-Dispatch Checklist, Aircraft fuelling and Ground equipment operations.
Participates in assigned projects & performs all other related duties as assigned by the Lead Technician or Management.
