KickCall.ai is building an AI-powered receptionist and communication automation platform for small and mid-sized businesses. We help companies manage calls, improve customer experience, and stay connected 24/7 using human-like AI voice assistants.


We're looking for an

AI/ML Researcher

who has an entrepreneurial mindset, is deeply curious about emerging AI technologies, and loves experimenting with real-world applications of Generative AI and Machine Learning.

Key Responsibilities

Stay on top of

latest AI/ML tools, models, and APIs

-- especially advancements from

OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta AI, and Google DeepMind

. Regularly research and summarize

new AI/ML research papers

, frameworks, and trends that can be applied to KickCall. Experiment with

new AI and ML techniques

and demonstrate proof-of-concepts to the development team. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to

identify AI-driven improvements

in KickCall's system. Build small internal tools, prototypes, or scripts to validate AI research ideas. Maintain an

AI/ML knowledge base

for the company -- document what's new, what's working, and what's coming next. Participate in brainstorming sessions and

support team members in development and integrations

Frequency and quality of

AI/ML research updates shared internally

practical applications or experiments

successfully adopted into the product. Ability to identify

emerging AI/ML trends before competitors

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree or PHD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related fields. Strong interest in

applied AI/ML research and experimentation

. Experience with

OpenAI API, LangChain, or other LLM-based tools

is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Entrepreneurial mindset -- curious, self-motivated, and solution-oriented. Open to learning new technologies and working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to Have

Prior experience in

AI automation

,

voice AI

, or

agent-based systems

. Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or research papers. Familiarity with

Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face

Process of Interview

The selection of any candidate is purely dependent on their performance in the interview process. Generally, there are three stages in the interview process which are as follows.

Aptitude Test

This part of interview is the First stage where you need to perform a program practically and show the output of the same.

Technical Interview

If you score good! Next will be a panel interview with our technical team, be prepared to answer what you've learned so far.

HR Interview
