The AI/ML Expert Manager will lead the design, development, and implementation of AI/ML solutions to address complex problems, automate internal processes, and support research within the criminal justice system. The role involves guiding a team of AI/ML engineers, ensuring adoption of advanced AI technologies, and assisting in organizational training and capacity-building efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI/ML models and solutions.
Automate internal processes using AI/ML and conduct research for criminal justice applications.
Define AI/ML strategies aligned with organizational goals and drive innovation.
Manage a team of AI/ML engineers and data scientists, including resource allocation, scheduling, and workload balancing.
Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver AI/ML-based solutions.
Stay updated with AI/ML advancements, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Ollama, OpenAI, and Generative AI technologies.
Ensure documentation of AI/ML models and workflows for reproducibility and maintenance.
Assist in training and capacity-building initiatives to enhance AI/ML capabilities within the organization.
Skills & Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of experience in AI/ML development
, including hands-on implementation of machine learning algorithms, LLMs, and Generative AI technologies.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field from a recognized university/institution.
Industry certifications such as Certified Artificial Intelligence Consultant (CAIC), AWS Certified Machine Learning, or equivalent.
Proven experience in automating internal processes using AI/ML and conducting research in criminal justice applications.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or similar.
Experience with popular ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and assist in training and capacity-building initiatives.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
