Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

The AI / GenAI Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI and GenAI solutions. This role focuses on building scalable models, supporting automation initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI capabilities across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
AI / GenAI Development & Implementation:

• Develop and maintain AI/GenAI models and applications tailored to business needs.
• Collaborate on solution design, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
• Support the development of chatbots and automation flows using LLMs, vector databases, and AI frameworks, fine tuning
• Evaluate, develop AI/GenAI solution with LLMs from leading providers (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Llama).
• Contribute to the integration of AI tools into existing systems and workflows.

Infrastructure & Technology Stack:

• Assist in designing and deploying infrastructure components for AI workloads across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Work with Azure services such as MS OpenAI, AI Search, Form Recognizer, ADLS, and Cosmos DB.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement security controls to safeguard data and models.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with internal security and governance standards.

Collaboration & Enablement:

• Work closely with business and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support training sessions and create documentation to enable users and developers.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to a community of practice.

Support & Maintenance:

• Provide ongoing support for deployed AI solutions, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Min. 4 years of experience in the IT industry, with 3 years in AI/GenAI development.
• Working knowledge of AI/GenAI technologies including ML, NLP, and generative models.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with Azure Cloud services, MS OpenAI, AI Search, Form Recognizer, ADLS, Cosmos DB.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with LLMs such as GPT, Llama, Claude, T5, BERT, etc.
• Familiar with open source such as projects like LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenLLM
• Excellent knowledge in Prompt Engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, agentic AI.
• Understanding MLOps and DataOps practices.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (especially Azure).
• Experience with REST APIs and development frameworks like Django, Express.js, or Spring Boot.
• Exposure to data platforms, NoSQL/RDBMS design, and analytics tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
