Job Description

The AI Video Intern will explore and experiment with the next generation of AI-powered video creation tools to help the Pillai Center produce innovative, high-quality visual content for global audiences. This role is ideal for creatively inclined, tech-curious individuals who have experimented with AI video platforms and want to expand their expertise in AI-generated storytelling, content automation, and viral media production. You will use AI research tools like Grok, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gamma to discover and evaluate cutting-edge video generation platforms -- including Midjourney, Google Vids, Sora, Adobe AI, Canva AI, Opus, YouTube AI, and other emerging AI editors -- to determine how these technologies can enhance short-form, long-form, and social media video production.

Key Responsibilities

Research, test, and compare popular AI video generation tools for both short-form and long-form content creation.

Produce AI-assisted video concepts, storyboards, and visual assets aligned with Pillai Center's brand voice and teachings.

Experiment with tools such as Midjourney, Google Vids, Sora, Adobe AI, Canva AI, Opus, YouTube AI, and similar creative platforms.

Use AI assistants (ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Gamma) to analyze trends, identify high-performing content styles, and recommend viral video strategies.

Create video variations and prototypes for marketing campaigns, social media channels, and educational programs.

Optimize visuals, captions, and sound elements for higher audience engagement.

Maintain documentation of tools tested, their results, and the most effective combinations for different video formats.

Collaborate with the Marketing, Design, and Programs teams to align creative output with campaign goals.

Desired Skills & Qualities

Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing) in Media, Communications, Film, Design, or Computer Science.

Prior experimentation with AI-based creative tools (e.g., Midjourney, Runway, Opus, Pika, or Sora).

Passion for video storytelling, editing, and emerging AI media technology.

Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut is a plus.

Familiarity with ChatGPT or other AI assistants for research and creative ideation.

A strong visual sense, creativity, and attention to detail.

Comfortable learning new tools independently using tutorials, communities, and AI prompts.
