Video isn't just another channel and it's our unfair advantage. The world moves at the speed of TikTok, and at Fireflies.ai, we're doubling down with AI. Our short-form interview videos are already sparking engagement, but we want to go bigger, bolder, and more viral.
We're on the hunt for an AI Video Editor & Script writer who's not just creative, but skilled at using AI tools to find that hook, that edit, that story twist that makes people stop scrolling and start sharing. If you binge-watch YouTube creators, break down viral TikToks, and love experimenting with AI tools like Veo 3, Runway, or Higgsfield to push creative limits, this is your playground.
We want a storyteller hungry, and high-energy that lives and breathes internet culture and knows how to harness AI to supercharge their creativity. You'll collaborate with our marketing, growth, and leadership teams to script, plan, and produce videos that get people talking (and clicking).
What will you do:
Storytelling & Scripting

• Transform even the most technical topics into binge-worthy scripts and viral video concepts.
• Write, iterate, and enhance scripts for interviews, explainers, social campaigns, and product launches.
• Pitch fresh, original formats and creative angles by always thinking outside the SaaS box.
• Master viral hooks: Craft captivating openers for both short- and long-form videos.

Creative Planning

• Collaborate with our team to plan shoots, develop storyboards, and build content calendars.
• Own the creative vibe: Guide the energy, pacing, music, and overall mood of every piece.

Editing & Execution

• Edit like a pro: Combine jump cuts, memes, music, transitions, and sound design for maximum impact.
• Produce rough cuts, experiment with styles, and refine with feedback until it's just right.
• Use professional editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar) with speed and efficiency as a creators, not filmmakers!
• Bring hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Runway, VEO 3, Kling, Flux, Elevenlabs, Higgsfield).
• Ideally, you've edited for creators or founders in the tech/AI niche (a plus).
• Showcase your skills with a strong editing portfolio.

Virality Hacking

• Analyse what's trending across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and beyond.
• Inject trends, creative formats, and viral hooks to maximise reach and engagement.

Collaboration

• Work closely with our team, but stretch further to full-length features, micro-content, interviews, and everything in between.
• Take ownership from script to final cut, lightening the load for leadership and driving the process end-to-end.

Who You Are:

• 1 to 4 years of experience making videos that blend creative editing with AI tools to deliver viral, high-impact content.
• Portfolio or channel with proof: TikTok, YouTube shorts, IG reels, or viral brand campaigns.
• Confident with AI tools (Veo 3, Runway, Higgsfield, etc.) and excited to push creative boundaries with them.
• Writer at heart, editor in practice. Can script a killer opener, but also cut a montage that slaps.
• Deeply online and know what's trending before it trends.
• High-energy, self-starting, and hungry to make a name for yourself.
• Willing to experiment, fail fast, and keep moving.
• Bonus: experience collaborating with brands, influencers, or startup teams.
