The company is committed to revolutionizing agricultural practices and outputs with a focus on sustainability. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Agronomist located in Nasik. The Agronomist will be responsible for conducting soil analysis and research to inform plant nutrition, irrigation, and other agricultural practices. The Agronomist will work with the team to develop and implement sustainable solutions based on scientific research. Qualifications Expertise in Soil Science and Agriculture with an understanding of agricultural systems Experience in conducting research and analysis to improve plant nutrient uptake, irrigation, and other agricultural practices Knowledge of plant nutrition, soil fertility, and soil-water-plant relationships Experience with crop models and simulation tools Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Agricultural Science, Soil Science, Agronomy, or related fields Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with remote sensing, GIS, and/or programming languages such as R or Python is a plus Responsibilities: Research, develop and provide guidance on farming practices, leading-edge agronomy or products that increase profitability, sustainability, crop health & vigor Working with industry partners on various projects, technology trials, research trials, assessing new technology options for clients Provide agronomic advisory to clients year-round on fertility, pest management, and application timing Provide year-round support and management strategies tailored to each individual client that helps drive production, sustainability and increase ROI Identify Fertility and crop planning, zone creation and management, prescription writing; Crop scouting to monitor plant growth & health, weeds, and provide solutions to any issues (pests, nutrient deficiencies, weather events) Multi-zone and multi-depth soil sampling, tissue testing and analyzing results; Participate in webinars, field days, trade shows while continually promoting business Provide technological assistance to growers, loading prescriptions, troubleshooting and creating efficiencies Work with and help other team members as needed Gather, compile, analyze and interpret soil test results and apply results to crop planning, fertility management, in crop applications Report development and preparation for soil results and trials Roles: Develops and analyzes computer-based maps from satellite imagery and other precision sources to research soils, fertilizers, pests, weather, and other agricultural elements. Evaluates materials that affect soil characteristics and drainage patterns. Uses geospatial technology to create farm reports. Uses global positioning systems (GPS) to improve and automate agricultural activities and processes. Creates yield maps based on satellite monitor data. Create crop scouting data deliverable and programmable agricultural equipment including pesticide and herbicide sprayers. Reviews collected agricultural data; recommends appropriate crops to plant in specified areas based on data analysis.
