Job Description
Location: Nagpur
:
- Strong background in agronomy and solid knowledge of crops, agri-products, and best agricultural practices.
- Hands on knowledge of traditional farming systems and challenges of small holding farming.
- Provide leadership and active technical support to various agriculture and allied activities and respond to queries of the farmers/project teams.
- Develop region based advisories and POPs (Package of practice) for different crops, farming practices and effective agri-solutions.
- Extensive and excellent knowledge of agri-input products and crop protection.
- Document best farming practices, maintaining databases, and keeping them up-to-date
- Ensure that technical know-how on agri products and technologies is maintained and effectively transferred to all the farms.
- Stay up to date with developments in agricultural technology and act as appoint of contact for any technical queries
- Build farmer-friendly training content to be used by other teams
- Engage in farmer and partner research to sharpen our understanding of the ecosystem and to uncover learning/insights.
- Language – English, Marathi and Hindi
