Orchard Solutions is looking for passionate and field-oriented
Agronomists
to support apple and other fruit orchards across Uttarakhand. This role is ideal for
fresh graduates
, as well as experienced who want hands-on exposure in modern orchard management, farmer advisory, and sustainable horticulture practices.
The Agronomist will work closely with orchard owners, field teams, and internal experts to improve fruit yield, quality, and long-term orchard health.
Key Responsibilities
Soil health management and nutrient planning
Fertilizer application schedules
Irrigation and water management
Pruning, training, and canopy management
Identify and manage
pest, disease, and nutrient deficiency issues
Support implementation of
best practices in orchard establishment and maintenance
Conduct
regular field visits
, crop inspections, and performance monitoring
Assist in yield improvement and quality enhancement strategies
Maintain field reports and share observations with senior agronomists/management
Educate farmers on
sustainable and modern horticulture techniques
Support trials, demonstrations, and new product or practice adoption
Desirable Qualifications
B.Sc. Agriculture / B.Sc. Horticulture
M.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc. Horticulture
(preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
Fresher are welcome to apply
Prior exposure to horticulture, orchard crops, or fieldwork will be an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong interest in
fruit crops and orchard management
Willingness to work extensively in the field
Good communication skills in
Hindi
(local language knowledge is a plus)
Basic understanding of crop nutrition, pests, and diseases
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Problem-solving and observation skills
