The Agro Sales & Distribution Executive is responsible for driving product sales, managing dealer and distributor networks, and ensuring smooth product availability in assigned territories. The role involves market development, farmer engagement, and achieving sales targets through effective distribution management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for agricultural products (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, or equipment).
Identify and appoint new channel partners in potential areas.
Conduct field visits, farmer meetings, and product demonstrations.
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely product supply to distributors.
Collect market intelligence on competitor activities and pricing trends.
Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams for on-time delivery.
Ensure proper display and branding at retail points.
Prepare and maintain sales reports and performance data.
Train distributors and field staff on product features and sales techniques.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good understanding of the agriculture market and rural sales.
Relationship-building and territory management skills.
Ability to analyze market data and develop sales strategies.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Self-motivated and target-oriented.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture / Agribusiness / Marketing / B.Sc (Agri).
MBA in Agri-Business or Marketing preferred (optional).
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in agro sales, distribution, or channel management.
Experience in fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, or agri-equipment companies preferred.
