The Sales & Distribution Executive (Agro Sales) is responsible for driving product sales and managing distribution channels for agricultural products such as fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, building a strong dealer/distributor network, and ensuring effective product availability and brand visibility in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development
Promote and sell agro-products (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, etc.) to dealers, distributors, and retailers.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets through effective planning and execution.
Conduct field visits to understand market requirements and strengthen customer relationships.
Identify new markets, distributors, and potential growth areas.
2. Channel & Distribution Management
Appoint new dealers and distributors in uncovered territories.
Ensure proper stock availability and timely supply at distributor and retailer points.
Monitor sales orders, collections, and stock levels regularly.
Maintain transparent communication with channel partners and resolve their issues.
3. Marketing & Promotion
Organize farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and awareness programs to promote products.
Support marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and events at the regional level.
Distribute promotional materials and assist in branding initiatives.
4. Market Research & Analysis
Gather market intelligence about competitors, pricing, and farmer preferences.
Track seasonal demand, product movement, and regional crop patterns.
Provide regular feedback to management for strategy formulation.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain detailed records of sales performance, dealer data, and collections.
Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery.
Submit daily/weekly reports on sales progress and market feedback.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
B.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Agri) / BBA or MBA in Marketing preferred.
Experience:
1-4 years of experience in agrochemical, fertilizer, or seed industry sales and distribution.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of agricultural markets and distribution networks
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently in rural field conditions
Basic computer and reporting skills
