About the Role



We are supporting one of our clients in identifying a seasoned Senior Trader to lead and drive the growth of its Agro commodity trading operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Agro commodity trading (across any commodity such as pulses, corn, spices, animal feed, nuts, etc.), relationships on the buy-side (sourcing), and the ability to manage large-volume sales across both domestic and export markets.

While the Group will provide in-house support for trade execution (contracts, documentation, logistics), prior exposure to these functions will be considered a strong advantage.

Sales will be the core responsibility, but the ability to contribute to sourcing strategies, particularly within your commodity domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities



Sales Development:

Drive high-volume sales across domestic and international markets, tapping into institutional buyers, traders, distribution networks, modern trade, and export clients.

Client Management:

Establish and grow strong client relationships to drive repeat, large-scale business and long-term partnerships.

Sourcing & Procurement:

Identify reliable suppliers and manage sourcing strategies where required. While internal support is available for select commodities, the ability to independently manage procurement is highly desirable.

Trade Execution Oversight:

Liaise with internal teams for contract management, documentation, and logistics. Prior exposure to these functions will be a definite advantage in ensuring smooth execution.

P&L Management:

Take full ownership of the trading P&L and contribute to scaling the Agro commodity trading business.

Market Intelligence:

Stay updated on price movements, global supply-demand trends, and commodity-specific market developments.

Operational Excellence:

Ensure timely and efficient execution of deals through strong coordination with buyers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile



Proven experience in Agro commodity trading, with the ability to manage high-volume transactions. Strong commercial and sales acumen with a track record of building and growing client accounts. Ability to generate and execute large-scale trade volumes across the domestic B2B segment. (Prior experience in handling export markets will be an added advantage.) Ability to support or lead procurement efforts in specific commodity categories. Familiarity with trade documentation, contracts, and logistics coordination will be advantageous. Highly self-driven, with strong ownership and execution capabilities.

Pay: ?75,000.00 - ?90,000.00 per month
