Brief : Looking for an Agricultural Research Assistant for a fully remote part time contract with a private cardamom plantation in Idukki District, Kerala. Qualifications: Preferably graduates/PhDs in agriculture, biology, botany, and related streams. Skills required: 0. Willingness to learn. 1. Know how of cardamom, pepper and other plants cultivated in Idukki District 2. Plantation specific experience is a plus. 3. Language fluency required: Conversational Malayalam, and Tamil 4. Ability to travel is a plus. 5. Should be comfortable using smartphones and computers. Experience: Previous experience in research or plantation industry is a plus. Previous experience as field officers for cardamom, coffee estates is a plus. Primary Responsibilities : The candidate is expected to research, analyse and prepare work processes and manage agronomy for the plantation. The role also might require on field research and development, and development of business improvement plans. Work Timings : Work timings for this role is expected to be dynamic and remote. Remuneration : Negotiable based on experience and skillset. Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
