We're seeking an experienced

Agriculture Expert

to join our team under the

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) project

. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in implementing project activities, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements:

- Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ related field

- Minimum 10 years of experience in project implementation/ management

- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and technologies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Components:

Cluster-Based Approach: Farmers are grouped into clusters to adopt organic practices collectively.

Certification: Third-party certification (NPOP) and Participatory Guarantee System (PGS-India) for domestic and international markets.

Market Linkages: Establishing direct market linkages for organic produce.

Key Responsibilities:

Awareness and Capacity Building:

- Conducting workshops and training sessions for farmers on organic farming practices.

- Providing technical guidance and hands-on training.

Cluster Formation:

- Identifying and forming farmer clusters to adopt organic farming collectively.

- Facilitating group activities and ensuring community participation.

Technical Support:

- Assisting farmers in transitioning to organic practices and obtaining certification.

- Providing agronomic support and troubleshooting

- Provide technical guidance and support to project staff and stakeholders

- Ensure project activities are implemented as per guidelines and timelines

- Conduct regular field visits and monitor project progress

- Identify and address implementation challenges and provide solutions

- Collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
