About the Role

CropXplore is building a hyperlocal

Agriculture Drone-as-a-Service platform

across Tamil Nadu to support farmers with precision spraying, crop monitoring, and digital traceability. As an

Agriculture Drone Pilot

, you will operate agricultural drones in real farm conditions, working closely with farmers, FPOs, and field teams to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient services.

Key ResponsibilitiesDrone Operations

Operate agricultural drones for

pesticide, nutrient, and bio-input spraying

Conduct

pre-flight checks, mission planning, and post-flight shutdown

Execute

crop-specific spraying SOPs

(paddy, turmeric, banana, cotton, vegetables, etc.) Ensure accurate

dosage, spray coverage, and flight safety

Crop Monitoring & Data Capture

Perform drone-based crop monitoring and field surveys Capture geo-tagged data (farm location, crop stage, acreage) Upload flight logs, spray records, and images via mobile application

Safety & Compliance

Follow

DGCA guidelines

, company SOPs, and safety protocols Maintain safe distance from people, livestock, and infrastructure Handle batteries, chemicals, and equipment responsibly

Maintenance & Logistics

Basic drone maintenance and troubleshooting Battery charging, storage, and field handling Coordinate with EV/logistics teams for equipment movement

Farmer Interaction

Communicate clearly with farmers before and after spraying Explain safety precautions and service outcomes Support adoption of digital agritech services

Eligibility & Requirements

10th / 12th / ITI / Diploma / Graduate (any discipline)

DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (Agriculture category)

Willingness to work in rural and field environments Physically fit and safety-oriented Ability to use smartphones and mobile apps
