Position: Agribusiness Development Executive



Location:

Idukki, Kerala (Kannan Devan Hills region)

Key Responsibilities:



Business Development & Institutional Liaison (40%)



Prepare business plans, budgets, and financial projections

Liaise with Spices Board, Kerala Agricultural University, FPOs

Coordinate with farmer groups and cooperative societies

Support market linkage development and buyer relationships

Processing Facility Management (30%)



Monitor cardamom processing operations (cleaning, grading, curing)

Ensure quality control standards for spice processing

Supervise storage management and inventory control

Coordinate logistics for product dispatch

Farm Management & Field Operations (15%)



Assist entrepreneur in daily farm management and operational decision-making

Conduct regular field visits to cardamom and spice farms for monitoring crop health

Develop and implement IPM strategies

Monitor pest and disease incidence, recommend interventions

Organize training for farm workers on IPM practices

Conduct field surveys and maintain pest management records

Other Responsibilities (5%)



Drive 2-wheeler/4-wheeler

Support certification and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:



Educational Background:



Preferably diploma in agriculture, biology, botany, and related streams. This is not a deal breaker for candidates who are genuinely passionate about Agri, entrepreneurship or both.

Experience:



Minimum 1 years relevant work experience in: Farm management, preferably plantation crops or spices IPM implementation and crop protection Agricultural field operations Experience with plantations is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies:



Valid driving license for 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler (Mandatory) Proficiency in farm management software and MS Office Knowledge of organic farming practices and sustainable agriculture Understanding of post-harvest processing and quality standards Strong communication skills in Malayalam, English, and preferably Tamil Ability to interact with farmers, institutions, and government departments Financial planning and budgeting capabilities Team management and leadership skills

Work Conditions:



Full-time position with field-intensive work (60-70% field time) Accommodation provided in Idukki (company-owned/leased housing) May require weekend work during peak agricultural seasons Travel to farms, processing units, and institutional offices

Financial Benefits:



Performance-based annual bonus post after one year of employment. Flexible working hours (within agricultural constraints)

Attendance and Leave Policy



Employees are entitled to 13 days of casual, sick, or festival leave per year. However, it is advised that leave should not be taken during the harvest season. All leave requests must be submitted in advance and require prior approval. Additional leave may be granted in exceptional circumstances, subject to management approval, but will be treated as unpaid. Sundays are generally considered non-working days. If an employee is required to work a full day on a Sunday under exceptional circumstances, appropriate compensation will be provided.

Remuneration



The fixed monthly pay for this position ranges from ?15000 to ?20,000, depending on the candidate's experience and skillset. The work hours for this role are flexible, allowing for adjustments within the constraints of agricultural operations

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
