Responsibilities

• Spearhead data privacy initiatives ensuring compliance with global and local regulations (e.g., GDPR, IT Act, e-Privacy).
• Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures while aligning with best practices.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive Data Inventory to ensure alignment with data processing standards.
• Monitor compliance, assess risk exposure, and create strategies to mitigate potential data breaches.
• Keep updated with developments in data privacy regulations; interpret and implement necessary changes within the organization.
• Provide data privacy-related training and workshops to employees at all levels.
• Manage data privacy incidents, audits, and investigations, and resolve any risks or compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Compliance, and other teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles across all business processes.
• Generate detailed reports and compliance insights for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Law, or related fields.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in data privacy, analytics, or compliance roles.
• In-depth knowledge of global data protection regulations such as GDPR, Indian Data Privacy Bill, or CCPA.
• Professional certifications like CIPP, ISO 27001, or relevant privacy/information security certifications are preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven experience in leading diverse and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in analytics tools and data modeling is highly advantageous.
