Job Purpose

Finance and accounts

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Vodafone Foundation (CSR Entity)

Financial accounting & month closing:

Manage month-end closure activities, including G/L entries (Grant movement tracker, bank reclassifications), Trial Balance reviews, and detailed P&L/Balance Sheet variance analysis.

Audit & Compliance (ICFR):

Coordinate all statutory and tax audit requirements, serve as the primary liaison for auditors, and ensure timely submission of all ICFR controls

Cash Flow & Payments:

Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices and tranche payments. Maintain and update the Fixed Deposit (FD) register, ensuring timely placement and renewal of FDs in consultation with the CSR team to maximize interest income

Process Improvement:

Ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial operations and maintain meticulous documentation standards for all entities.

Employee Gratuity and Superannuation Trusts:

Financial Review:

Review the monthly financials prepared for five associated trusts of Vi and its Subsidiaries, identifying and correcting discrepancies in co-ordination with respective team members.

Policy Management:

Oversee the review and renewal of policies held by the trusts.

Documentation & Archiving:

Ensure all financial documentation, signed financials, fund statements, and merger documents are properly maintained and archived for previous and current years.

Entry Verification:

Verify all monthly entries posted in the trusts books.

Audit and compliance:

Ensuring Audit is timely completed and statutory compliances are done accurately before timelines.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

Knowledge of Financial Accounting and Monthly Books Closure in an ERP Environment. Knowledge of CSR regulations in India from Accounting, Reporting and Compliance perspective

Must have technical / professional qualifications

C.A. / MBA Finance
