Role profile
Role title: Product Development Manager, IP Telephony & Collaboration

Location: Corporate/ Mumbai
Role purpose: To design, develop and roll out new services and capabilities on the Business Communications portfolio in line with market requirements and strategy; with focus on IP Telephony, Unified Communications, CPaaS,CCaaS and digital transformation. The role bridges the market requirements and the technology capability to deliver a cutting edge product portfolio with improved features and differentiators thereby enabling market advantage.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• New Product Roadmap ownership and delivery as per defined timelines
• This role is the think tank that has the skill set to evaluate new developments and keep VIL in pace with the market looking at innovation and differentiators that technology will create in future.
• Converting market & business requirements into a robust product design blueprint by actively collaborating with Tech planning and Operations, CS, Finance, Regulatory, and other relevant functions.
• Develop PoCs, as well as define & manage partner engagements to implement and deliver productized solutions.
• Stress test the product on a regular basis to identify and implement areas for improving CXX through development

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Strong technical acumen and understanding of customer experience and digital journeys in the IP telephony,CCaaS Cloud collaboration & UCaaS domain.
• Experience in developing new products under established Product Development frameworks
• Systems and process orientation
• Strong influential skills to drive new product development across multiple functions of CS, Technology planning , RA, Operations, legal, Regulatory, Delivery, engineering and solutions.
• Manage complex project execution

Work Experience = 8+ Years
Professional qualifications (preferable):
Engineering Graduate or equivalent
Certifications on Agile/ITIL/Other
Budget owned:
Responsible for revenue and CXX contribution from new products and capabilities for the Business Communications portfolio.
Key performance indicators [max 3]:

• Delivery of the new product development and capabilities roadmap within target timelines.
• Final product delivered to be in line with specifications.
• Innovation in terms of bringing in new technologies/ partners or bundled solutions
