Job Description

Assistant General Manager (AGM) - PMO



Department:

Project Management Office (PMO)

Key Responsibilities



PMO Leadership & Governance



Lead PMO operations across solar EPC / IPP projects

Define and implement project governance frameworks, SOPs, and controls

Standardize project planning, reporting, and review mechanisms

Ensure alignment between project execution and organizational objectives

Project Planning & Monitoring



Oversee preparation and tracking of:

Monitor project progress against cost, time, and quality benchmarks

Identify slippages and recommend corrective and preventive actions

Cost Control & Commercial Monitoring



Track project budgets, cash flows, and cost-to-complete

Monitor variations, claims, and change orders

Coordinate with Commercial, Finance, and Contracts teams

Support margin protection and profitability improvement initiatives

Risk, Issue & Change Management



Establish risk registers and mitigation plans

Monitor critical project risks (land, ROW, approvals, supply chain, grid)

Manage change control processes and impact assessments

Reporting & MIS



Develop and maintain executive dashboards and MIS reports

Present portfolio-level status to senior management

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting

Cross-Functional Coordination



Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, SCM, QA/QC, and O&M

Facilitate inter-departmental issue resolution

Support leadership in decision-making with data-driven insights

Tools & Digital PMO



Drive adoption of project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, ERP)

Improve data integration between site and HO

Promote digitalization and automation of PMO processes

Required Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil)

MBA / PGDM in Project Management or Operations preferred

PMP / Prince2 certification is an advantage

Experience Requirements



10-15 years of experience in solar / infrastructure / EPC projects

Minimum 4-6 years in PMO, project controls, or portfolio management roles

Experience managing multi-project portfolios

Strong project controls and scheduling expertise

Excellent analytical and reporting skills

Commercial and contractual understanding

Leadership and stakeholder management

High proficiency in PM tools and Excel / BI platforms

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?2,000,000.00 - ?2,500,000.00 per year
