Senior Engineer, Product Applications/IC Definition The mission of the Automotive Electrification and Sustainable Energy Business Group is to develop technology solutions that solve planetary level problems and enrich our lives. To help us achieve our ambitious goalsin accelerating growth and increasing value capture, we are seeking a highly driven and dynamic engineer to take a lead role in product definition, to support new product introduction and future roadmap development. Role Description The Automotive BU has identified the need for a highly motivated and experienced applications or hardware design engineers to excel in the following areas: Close customer interaction to clearly understand the key challenges to be solved across technology domains within our market focus. Strong technical competency to convert seeds of automotive market insights into real tangible product concepts (IC definition) Translate the customer problem statement into system architectures focused on power management solutions in ADAS and EV space in Automotive. These products include BMS AFE, DC-DC converters, Gate drivers for SiC/IGBT, Supervisory products, Hot swap controllers, PMIC\'s etc.. Ownership of the product requirements and validating the products with our customers. Work with the internal team (design, applications, marketing and test engineering) and lead a product through its lifecycle (concept to production) Build technical expertise within a global applications team. Additional Responsibilities: Identifying and prioritize real business opportunities for ADI in the Automotive EV power management segment Sales & Customer support throughout the development process to deliver mutual success, including providing the correct architecture/IC definition, hardware, software development and supporting collateral. Clear communication to internal and external stakeholders including customers, partners, team members, and collaborating ADI teams. Grow strong technical and business networks across ADI & leverage to create differentiating solutions. Identification of emerging technology trends and translation of these into product proposals that drive the development of ADI\'s business and technology roadmaps. BOM analysis, competitive analysis, and collateral development Requirements Strong candidates will have the following attributes, experience, and qualifications: Bachelors\' degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. 7+ years\' experience in an applications or similar technical role, preferably in the semiconductor, Automotive or EV industry. Experience with articulating and presenting concepts to customers and uncovering their needs. Demonstrated team player, excellent communication, and leadership skills. A confident speaker who respectfully speaks their mind and has the courage of their convictions to see things through. Self-motivated, thorough, autonomous, and driven to continually improve. Demonstrates a self-starter mindset to drive the product (IC) definition. Enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and openly embracesworking with others, including across groups, and actively seeks to do so. Ability to travel for customer and partner meetings as required. Additional Requirements It will be considered a distinct advantage for candidates to possess the following attributes, experience, and qualifications: Experience with BMS and/or Power Management Products in Automotive ADAS and/or EV space, including designing of hardware.
