Requirements
We are looking for a qualified and AERB certified Radiotherapy Technologist to join our oncology care team. The role requires expertise in delivering precise radiation treatments, maintaining equipment performance, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to all regulatory compliance requirements. You will play a critical role in the treatment journey of cancer patients by working closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nursing staff to deliver accurate, safe, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Treatment Delivery

  • Accurately administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments as per physician-approved plans.
  • Prepare and position patients with the aid of immobilization devices to ensure correct alignment during each session.
  • Operate and monitor radiotherapy machines, including Linear Accelerators (LINACs), ensuring correct dosage delivery.
2. Quality Assurance
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality assurance (QA) checks on radiotherapy equipment.
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation to meet AERB and hospital compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with medical physicists for calibration and verification processes.
3. Equipment Management
  • Monitor and maintain all radiotherapy equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Report faults or irregularities to engineering and physics teams for timely resolution.
  • Maintain detailed logs of machine usage, servicing, and calibration.
4. Patient Care
  • Educate patients about treatment procedures, duration, and possible side effects.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
  • Monitor patient reactions during sessions and coordinate with clinical staff for necessary interventions.
5. Radiation Safety
  • Implement strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure.
  • Use personal dosimeters and safety gear as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure treatment rooms and equipment comply with radiation protection standards.
6. Record Keeping
  • Maintain detailed patient treatment records, including dose delivery, images, and procedural notes.
  • Document any treatment variations, incidents, or machine errors.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all medical and technical records.
7. Collaboration & Compliance
  • Work closely with oncologists, physicists, and nurses for treatment planning and execution.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment modifications.
  • Comply with AERB regulations, hospital SOPs, and national healthcare guidelines at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology from an AERB Certified Institute.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical radiotherapy setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in treatment delivery, QA processes, and radiotherapy equipment handling.
  • Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, patient empathy, collaborative approach, and adherence to compliance standards.
