What you\'ll create and do As a member of the Valuations team, you will contribute to our client\'s business decision process. Your contribution will involve the following: Advise clients on complex valuation issues and develop valuation models for a variety of purpose including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, taxation, corporate decision support and corporate governance Research and develop quantitative tools to provide analytical insights into business transactions and asset valuations using market and company data Integrate data engineering and data science into existing working process to build creative client solutions Support our broader team\'s engagements helping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge Build a network around your peer group internally at PwC and externally Provide support to team members in technical skills, industry knowledge and soft skills. What you\'ll bring to this role A strong academic background in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other relevant post graduate degrees) An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work Proficient in common programming languages (e.g. Python/R/MATLAB/Visual Basic/SQL/etc.) Extensive expertise in financial derivatives modelling A Chartered Financial Analyst designation will be an asset Experience with building and maintaining data infrastructure will be an asset Proven ability to manage project workflows and deliver on time Proactive, takes ownership of tasks and assignments, accepts responsibility for outcomes Experienced at preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials Candidates need to be receptive to travel when required.
