Job Title Advisor, Systems Engineering

What does a successful Virtualization Engineer do at Fiserv?

- is responsible for supporting ESX Production and Pre-Prod equipment in global perspective including on-call coverage.

- performs a wide variety of installation, configuration, upgrades of servers, related hardware, and software in a LAN and stand-alone ESX environment.

- provides investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software, and infrastructure.

- 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with VMWare, Hypervisor, ESX, vCloud/vSphere technologies.

- transforms infrastructure to ISSC: Scripting experiences with one or more of PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ruby, and Python or others.

What You will do:

• Would be responsible for supporting ESX Production and Pre-Prod equipment in global perspective including on-call coverage.
• Will performs a wide variety of installation, configuration, upgrades of servers, related hardware, and software in a LAN and stand-alone ESX environment.
• Will provides investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• Transforms infrastructure to ISSC: Scripting experiences with one or more of PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ruby, and Python or others.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with VMWare, Hypervisor, ESX, vCloud/vSphere technologies
• Must have 4+ years working with mission-critical high transaction volume consumer facing systems.
• Must have experience of the VMware hypervisor platforms and their management capabilities.
• Must have extensive experience in trouble shooting performance related issues in large ESXi environments.
• Must ensure that hardware and application security and controls meet or exceed guidelines.
• Extensive knowledge of datacenter infrastructure services including HTTP/S. DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, Directory Services
• Experience in using VMware vRA , vRO, Rundeck or Ansible for IT workflows or runbook automation.
• Experience in architecting and implementing automated processes, including provisioning, configuration management, application and patch management, monitoring and alerting, capacity monitoring.
• Experience with fine tuning virtualization, storage configuration, and replication for specific workloads, such as relational databases, middleware, low-latency solution stacks
• Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recover design, planning and implementation.
• Familiar with concept of continuous delivery and integration.
