The primary purpose of the Systems Engineer is to provide senior-level CICS/TS technical support (installation, implementation, administration, and maintenance) for all Fiserv IBM mainframe-based CICS/TS solutions supporting Fiserv's Issuing, Acquiring, and Payments clients globally. This support includes working and supporting internal and external clients using IBM's CICS/TS solutions and work with other mainframe-based technical teams in a high availability and global environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the installation, implementation, performance, testing and integrity of a large IBM CICS/TS implementation Work with Development, Operations, and other technical teams on new and existing CICS/TS project implementations Maintain CICS/TS system options for optimum performance and availability Assist with the development and maintenance of CICS/TS standards and roadmaps Ability to provide global on-call support Work with internal and external clients in implementing CICS/TS solutions Supporting and participating in Disaster Recovery exercises Providing dump analysis and problem determination of root causes related to system problems and outages including storage violations Working with computer operations to quickly resolve incidents and automate operational processes such as IPLs, Cold Starts, and dump processing Ensuring High Availability and performance objectives, as required by customers and management are maintained for operating systems and for software components Administration using IBM and Independent Software Vendor products Experience with CICSPlex System Manager (CPSM) is a plus Previous experience with Vision Plus or IBM MQ is desirable

Minimum

Requirements:

At least 10 years hands-on experience supporting CICS/TS in large IBM z/OS Mainframe environment In depth working knowledge of IBM Assembler and REXX required Experience with mainframe software installation, maintenance and support Four-year college degree in Computer Science/Management or equivalent educational/work experience
