What does a great Cloud Architect do?

A great Cloud Architect is at foremost the technical leader of a team of development resources. Greatly responsible to the success of any cloud project, inspires to the delivery to solve for the right things, the right way, and on time. Responsible for advocating on best practices, communicating on the progress statuses, mentoring other developers, providing technical guidance to the team, and deciding on technical trade-offs. Would actively work with Manager/Director, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and Client-Customers to accomplish business initiatives and achieve successful results.

• Great Experience and knowledge of SDLC Lifecycle and all phases
• Great Experience and knowledge of Agile methodology and principals
• Good Experience in Application Security best practices
• Good Experience in Source Code Repository usage
• Experience in Cloud Architecture best practices
• Experience in resolving Conflict.
• Good Personal Integrity and Accountability
• Ability to put Cloud Architecture Diagrams together when required.
• Ability to perform code reviews.
• Ability to Research and perform Prototype/PoC when required.

What You Will Need to Have:

• Solutioning cloud-based security model - for e.g., separation of runtimes vs consoles, workforce vs customer, n-tier architecture; Expertise in designing enterprise class security, network and systems management applications within an AWS environment.
• Solutioning Auto Scaling requirements and define scaling strategy.
• Good exposure in deploying Ping family products ; PingFederate, PingDirectory, PingAccess
• Hands on experience on Kubernetes Architecture / cluster model, deploying Kubernetes cluster on AWS EKS / Azure AKS
• Innovative mindset
• Design high availability, scalable and fault tolerance system on AWS and Azure Cloud.
• Solutioning design principles including network, data (S3 buckets), load balancers (site specific resolution)
• Solutioning data migration from on premises environments into AWS and Azure
• Architecting and configuring secure cloud using private and public networks through subnets in AWS and Azure and defining auto scaling groups
• Architectural experience in Infrastructure automation using Terraform or equivalent tech stack
• Hands on experience in Docker Containerization; Solid experience in Docker container orchestration
• Solutioning cloud-based security model - for e.g., separation of runtimes vs consoles, workforce vs customer, n-tier architecture; Expertise in designing enterprise class security, network and systems management applications within an AWS environment.
• Solutioning Auto Scaling requirements and define scaling strategy.
• Solutioning data migration from on premises environments into AWS
• Hands on expertise on working with HELM charts.
• Architectural experience in Infrastructure automation using Terraform or equivalent tech stack.

• Hands on experience in Integration and Build tools like Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline setup, GIT and Bitbucket
• Hands on experience in implementing blue green deployment strategy.
