Position Overview Applies the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of software and computer systems. Works cross-functionally to understand business requirements, evaluate alternative approaches and ensure software and systems are designed to facilitate accessibility and ease of use. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts and practices to facilitate system functionality and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Provides Software Engineering for moderately complex software systems and applications. Designs, develops, tests and documents moderately complex software systems and applications. Estimates complex software development tasks to within predictable variances, given specified functional and business requirements. Assists with the creation, development, implementation and monitoring of solution delivery plans. Presents system alterations and designs to peers and colleagues. Helps define and support coding standards. Works with QA leads to ensure quality and performance adherence to specifications for overall release. Provides Q&A and peer review for fellow developers. Breaks down large-scale functional and business requirements into single or multiple projects suitable for high-level estimation. Identifies tasks for automation and works with appropriate teams to develop end products that generate greater efficiency. Requisition Employer Description
