Manufacturing Intelligence organization within Pfizer's Global Technology & Engineering (GTE) drives Pfizer Global Supply toward 'Industry 4.0' capability through Big Data, Process Analytical Technology, Advanced Process Control, Process Modelling, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Robotics.
The Manufacturing Intelligence organization identify and deliver high-value transformational opportunities focused on process insight and control of manufacturing assets and processes with the potential for substantially reducing cost and cycle time and increasing robustness and productivity.
Data Analytics team within Manufacturing Intelligence organization is responsible for providing expert advanced data analytics and modelling support. This team works in close partnership with all other Manufacturing Intelligence teams, providing supplementary advanced analytics expertise across a range of fields in support of the MI program portfolio.
The position offers flexibility to work remotely within India and may require travel up to 20% of the time (manufacturing sites, domestic/internationally).
Responsibilities
Provide expert Advanced Process Control, Predictive modelling and Data analytics support to all teams in Manufacturing Intelligence organization and support of project execution at manufacturing sites.
Develop, test (in silico) and implement APC by using model based control techniques
Support validation & qualification of deployed APC in GMP environment
Translate business requirements into tangible solution specifications and high quality, on time deliverables
Support the building, testing, deployment and qualification of process soft sensor models.
Stay abreast of industry 4.0 trends and developments in AI/ML and work with other MI teams to pilot new advances to drive value for PGS.
Experience:
Applicants with hands on experience in the following areas will be of interest:
Experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC), Fuzzy logic algorithm, Gain Scheduling, LQR approach and PID using Python - must have
Experience with developing & simulating controller in MATLAB and Simulink - must have
Exposure of edge analytics platforms (e.g. AWS Greengrass) - good to have
Familiarity with PharmaMV and gPROMS for APC deployment in real-time - good to have
Experience of interfacing with automation platforms such as DeltaV DCS, Aspen, ABB or similar.
Development of connectivity interfaces with data sources and historians including OSI Pi, MQTT, OPC
Ability to understand Machine learning model development using Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow and PyTorch libraries and integrate with visualization platform - good to have
First principle and hybrid model development (including soft sensors), background in heat transfer & thermodynamics - good to have
Experience of Process Analytical Technology (PAT), process modelling, RTR, with hands-on experience on SIMCA - good to have
Data analytics/modelling experience with pharmaceuticals, Chemical domain expertise and industrial exposure
Qualifications:
Higher degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred, other engineering disciplines like computational modelling, data science with exposure to Process control principles can also be considered
Preferably MS (minimum 3 years hands-on experience) or Ph.D. (minimum 1 year industrial experience) with specialized knowledge in data science
