AP Biology Tutor

to support high school students in mastering the AP Biology curriculum and preparing for the AP exam.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging tutor who can provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in

Advanced Placement Biology

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, experience with the AP Biology exam, and a talent for explaining complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging way.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized or group tutoring sessions to high school students in AP Biology. Develop customized lesson plans based on each student's strengths and weaknesses. Assist students in mastering topics such as cellular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology. Help students develop strong test-taking strategies and prepare for the AP Biology exam. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Communicate regularly with students and/or parents about progress and goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology or a related field (required). Prior experience tutoring or teaching AP Biology (required). Strong understanding of the AP Biology curriculum and exam format. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and helping students succeed. [Optional] Teaching credential or certification is a plus.

Preferred:

Experience with online tutoring platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet). Familiarity with College Board AP standards. Previous score of 4 or 5 on the AP Biology exam (if recently taken).

Pay: ?400.00 - ?500.00 per hour
