Responsible To


Engineering Manager & Global product manager

Main Duties/Function

Monitoring product portfolio and product life cycle Providing input to Sales & Marketing about product developments and introduction of new products Contributing to the development of product road maps, product portfolio positioning, and business cases for new products and product improvements Collecting, processing, and analysing of market, product, competitor, and customer data Monitoring, reporting and reacting to market trends, developments, competition and innovations Supporting pricing policy and pricelists Providing input for website, marketing documentation/campaigns, exhibitions/roadshows and white papers Working with marketing to develop and optimize sales tools/information Providing support (2nd line) for technical questions from customers Managing product declarations Arranging customer-specific testing and samples Supporting the standardization of processes and tools for product management activities within the RTPE group Providing technical and market input to engineering teams for product developments and optimizations Making sure the product development pipeline is filled with innovative ideas Supporting product development process between Sales, Product Management and Engineering Prepare Product development plan by compiling the required specification and features Maintaining test certificate reports Cross functional collaboration (Engineering, Marketing, Finance etc.) Soft Skills, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP

Education & Qualification

Bachelors or Master in Engineering/business management Minimum of 8 years in a technical-commercial product environment or product management role

Practical Experience

Essential

Product Management experience in a technical environment, with electromechanical products Desirable Product Management in the Rollingstock environment Skills & Competence Level Essential Analytical Planning & Organizing Vision Result oriented Global mindset Customer focus Collaborating Excellent verbal and written communication, including 'Customer Facing' skills. Desirable Experience of Railway Standards (e.g. EN50155, EN50121, IEC 60571, IEC 60077, IEC 61373, EN 45545-2) Experience of Relay Standards (e.g. IEC 61810, IEC 60947-5-1, IEC 60947-5-4)

Additional Comments

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and energetic, able to manage multiple tasks at one time, have a strong desire to get the job done right first time and have a 'can do' attitude. English speaking/writing is essential, Dutch and/or French is beneficial.
