As an Admission Counselor, you will play a crucial role in recruiting and advising prospective students, guiding them through the admission process, and representing the institution to the public.
Responsibilities
Conduct recruitment activities to attract potential students
Provide information about academic programs, admission requirements, and financial aid options
Assist students in completing application forms and required documentation
Conduct campus tours and participate in recruitment events
Evaluate student transcripts and assess transfer credits
Offer academic advising to prospective students
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth admission process
Experience
Previous experience in university admissions or education administration is preferred
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Familiarity with recruiting techniques and Ellucian software is a plus
Ability to educate and engage with diverse groups of prospective students
Experience working with students or in an educational setting is beneficial
