The Admission Officer is responsible for driving student enrollments by managing the entire admission and sales process -- from lead generation to closing admissions. The role involves counselling prospective students, travelling for admission drives and marketing activities, and training counsellors to ensure consistent communication and conversion standards across all branches.
This is a performance-driven role requiring strong communication, sales, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Target Achievement:
Achieve monthly and quarterly admission and revenue targets.
Convert inquiries into confirmed admissions through effective counselling and follow-ups.
Identify new business opportunities through school visits, partner tie-ups, and local marketing initiatives.
Track and analyze lead conversion ratios and implement improvement strategies.
Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional activities and lead generation campaigns.
2. Student Counselling & Admission Process:
Counsel students and parents about courses, eligibility, and program benefits.
Handle walk-ins, calls, and online inquiries professionally and promptly.
Maintain updated records of all prospects and admissions in the CRM system.
Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for every student from inquiry to enrollment.
3. Travelling & Outreach Activities:
Travel to various branches, partner institutions, or education fairs to conduct admission drives.
Represent the organization at promotional events, seminars, and exhibitions.
Conduct presentations at schools, colleges, and community events to generate leads.
Coordinate with external partners, counsellors, and franchise centers for business growth.
4. Training & Team Development:
Provide training and mentoring to counsellors on admission processes, communication, and sales techniques.
Conduct periodic skill development sessions for the counselling team.
Evaluate counsellor performance and ensure consistency in conversion and reporting.
Share updated product knowledge, policies, and scripts with counsellors regularly.
5. Documentation & Compliance:
Verify and collect all required admission documents and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate with accounts for fee collection and reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and data protection norms.
6. Reporting & Coordination:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly admission performance reports.
Share market feedback and competitor analysis with management.
Collaborate with academic and operational teams to ensure smooth batch commencement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferred: Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field).
2-5 years of experience in
admissions, sales, or student recruitment
.
Proven track record of achieving sales/admission targets.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel as per business requirements.
