Admission Counsellor -



Position Overview


An Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing accurate information about academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and institutional policies. They serve as the primary point of contact for applicants and play a key role in meeting enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities



Student Engagement & Guidance

Respond to inquiries from prospective students and parents via phone, email, chat, and in-person meetings. Counsel students on course selection, eligibility requirements, career pathways, and program outcomes. Conduct campus tours, information sessions, and admission workshops.

Admission Process Management

Assist students in completing application forms, document submission, and entrance requirements. Maintain accurate and updated applicant records in the CRM system. Review applications for completeness and coordinate with academic departments for evaluation.

Recruitment & Outreach

Participate in education fairs, school visits, webinars, and marketing events. Build and maintain relationships with school counsellors, coaching centers, and community organizations. Support the planning and execution of recruitment campaigns.

Communication & Follow-Up

Provide timely updates to applicants regarding application status, interviews, tests, and deadlines. Follow up with leads to meet enrollment targets. Share program updates, scholarship opportunities, and admission timelines.

Reporting & Coordination

Prepare weekly and monthly reports on inquiries, conversions, and admissions. Coordinate with marketing, academic departments, and the admissions team for seamless operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree (Education, Business, Communications, or related field preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer-service orientation. Ability to handle inquiries professionally and maintain confidentiality. Good organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office. Sales or counselling experience is an added advantage.
