Job Description

The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding students through the admission process for IT training programs, understanding their career goals, and recommending suitable courses. The role demands strong communication, sales orientation, and counselling skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Handling:

Contact and follow up with leads generated through calls, social media, or walk-ins. Maintain a daily log of enquiries and conversions.

Student Counselling:

Understand the candidate's academic background and career objectives. Suggest suitable IT courses (e.g., Java Fullstack, Automation Testing, UI/UX). Explain course details, duration, fees, and placement assistance.

Sales & Admissions:

Convert enquiries into admissions by clearly communicating the value of the institute's training programs. Achieve monthly admission targets.

Coordination:

Work closely with trainers, marketing, and placement teams to ensure a smooth student experience. Schedule demo sessions or counselling meetings when required.

Documentation & Reporting:

Manage student records in CRM. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on leads, admissions, and revenue.

Required Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication (English, Hindi, Marathi preferred) Strong persuasion and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of IT courses and career paths Proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools Target-oriented and self-motivated

Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline (preferably with IT or Business background) 1-3 years of experience in counselling, telecalling, or inside sales (education sector preferred)

Salary Range

?15,000 - ?25,000 per month (Fixed + Incentives based on admissions)
