The Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting, advising, and guiding prospective students through the admissions process. This role involves communicating with students, parents, and educators to provide information about academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and enrollment procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment:
Represent the institution at college fairs, school visits, and community events.
Conduct campus tours and organize informational sessions for prospective students and families.
Follow up with leads and inquiries through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
Admissions Counseling:
Advise prospective students on admission requirements, application procedures, financial aid options, and academic programs.
Evaluate applications, transcripts, and standardized test scores.
Assist students with completing admission forms and ensure all required documents are submitted.
Application Management:
Review and process applications in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records in the admissions database (e.g., CRM or SIS systems).
Coordinate with academic departments and admissions committees to finalize admission decisions.
Marketing & Outreach:
Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and digital campaigns.
Participate in social media outreach and online engagement to promote programs and events.
Event Coordination:
Organize open houses, admission webinars, orientation sessions, and campus visits.
Coordinate logistics and communication with event attendees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, communications, marketing, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in admissions, student services, or related fields.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
