Job Description

An Admission Counselor guides prospective students through the college application process by providing information on programs and requirements, assisting with applications, and facilitating campus visits and recruitment events. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to support students, resolve application issues, maintain records, and collaborate with other staff to achieve enrollment goals. Key Responsibilities

Student Guidance:

Inform prospective students about academic programs, admission requirements, campus life, and career opportunities.

Application Support:

Guide students through the entire application process, including reviewing forms, verifying information, and assisting with submitting necessary documents.

Recruitment:

Organize and participate in recruitment events like campus tours, open houses, college fairs, and information sessions to attract diverse students to the institution.

Evaluation:

Review applicant materials, conduct interviews, and collaborate with other counselors to make informed admission decisions.

Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of student interactions and update the admissions database.

Information Dissemination:

Communicate admission policies, procedures, and financial aid information to students and their families.

Issue Resolution:

Proactively contact applicants to resolve issues with their applications, such as missing or inaccurate information.
