Role Overview

The

Academic Counselor - Sales

is responsible for guiding and assisting prospective students through the course selection and enrollment process while achieving sales targets. This role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills to understand students' aspirations and convert inquiries into successful admissions.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with potential students via phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to provide detailed information about courses and programs. Counsel students on program selection based on their interests, academic background, and career goals. Achieve monthly and quarterly

enrollment/sales targets

through effective lead management and conversion. Follow up promptly on leads generated through marketing and ensure maximum conversion. Maintain and update student databases and CRM systems with accuracy. Participate in educational events, seminars, and webinars to promote institutional programs. Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to improve lead generation and student experience. Handle queries professionally and ensure a smooth admission process from inquiry to enrollment.

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written). Excellent persuasive and negotiation abilities. Customer-focused with a positive attitude. Time management and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Education).

Experience:

1-3 years in academic counseling, inside sales, or educational sales preferred. Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for counseling may also apply.
