Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Counsellor with strong expertise in student counselling and technical courses. The ideal candidate will guide students in choosing the right career paths, explain technical programs clearly, and support them throughout the enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students and professionals regarding technical courses (IT, Software, Data Science, Cloud, AI/ML, etc.)

Understand student needs and recommend suitable courses and career paths

Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions (in-person / telephonic / online)

Follow up with prospective students and maintain a healthy conversion ratio

Explain course curriculum, certification value, career outcomes, and placement support

Maintain accurate student data and counselling reports

Coordinate with academic and operations teams for smooth onboarding

Participate in seminars, webinars, and career guidance sessions

Required Skills & Expertise

Proven experience in academic/career counselling

Strong knowledge of technical and professional courses

Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle student queries and objections confidently

Result-oriented mindset with a student-first approach

Basic computer proficiency (CRM, Excel, email tools)

Qualifications

Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline

Certification or training in counselling is a plus

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in EdTech, Training Institutes, Colleges, or Coaching Centers

Comfortable working with targets and deadlines

Passionate about mentoring and guiding students
