Job Description

Job Summary:



The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrolment. This role requires excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills to attract, engage, and convert leads into confirmed students.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead Generation and Follow-up

: Respond promptly to prospective student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. Conduct follow-up communications to provide additional information and answer any questions. Track leads and follow up on potential students to ensure conversions.

Counselling and Guidance

: Provide one-on-one counselling to prospective students and their families on programs, admission requirements, and other offerings. Assess student qualifications, interests, and goals to recommend the best-suited programs. Guide students on completing application forms and gathering necessary documents.

Documentation and Process Management

: Verify and ensure the accuracy of student application documentation. Maintain detailed records of all interactions and updates on prospective students. Coordinate with other departments for document review and selection processes.

Event Participation

: Attend and participate in educational fairs, seminars, webinars, and other recruitment events. Arrange and conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families.

Relationship Building

: Develop strong relationships with prospective students, parents, and influencers (schools, career counsellors, etc.). Build rapport to ensure high engagement levels and increase the likelihood of enrolment.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, Marketing, or a related field. Previous experience in admissions, counselling, or customer service (preferred).

Skills and Competencies

:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite. Ability to handle high call volumes and work in a fast-paced environment.
