Role Overview
The Admission Counsellor will serve as the primary point of contact for aspiring students and parents. The role involves counselling students, explaining program offerings, and converting inquiries into admissions. The counsellor will support students and parents throughout the admission journey.
This is a communication- and target-driven role that requires proactive calling, lead generation, follow-ups, counselling, and converting leads into admissions. The role demands excellent communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and a strong goal-oriented mindset.
Counsel students and parents regarding CLAT, IPMAT, CUET, Civil Judge, and other programs offered.
Understand students' goals, strengths, and aspirations to guide them to the right course.
Communicate program strengths, learning approach, and success outcomes effectively.
2. Lead Generation & Follow-ups
Make outbound calls to leads generated through campaigns, events, referrals, and social media.
Re-engage inactive or old leads to revive interest.
Handle walk-ins, inbound calls, and WhatsApp inquiries.
Maintain regular follow-ups until conversion.
Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
3. Admission Process Management
Conduct counselling sessions, program briefings, and centre visits.
Assist students with forms, documentation, and fee payments.
Maintain accurate records in CRM/internal systems.
4. Coordination & Events
Coordinate with academic teams for demo classes, tests, and orientations.
Represent the institute in seminars, school visits, and education fairs.
Support outreach and marketing initiatives as required.
5. Communication & Student Relationship
Build trust and long-term rapport with students and parents.
Provide timely updates and guidance throughout the admission process.
Handle queries professionally and patiently.
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication in English and Hindi
Strong persuasion and interpersonal skills
Student-centric and confident personality
Ability to work under targets and deadlines
Good organisational and documentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office; CRM experience preferred
Qualification & Experience
Graduate / Post-graduate in any discipline
2-5 years of experience in counselling, sales, or education sector
